canon-powershot-a200.jpgIntroducing One of The Easiest Cameras Ever!

Introducing one of the smartest and simplest digital cameras ever! From its stunning clarity and color to its powerful performance features, this is the digital cameras that has it all — for far less than ever before.

PowerShot A200 is a 2.0 megapixel, single-focal length autofocus camera incorporating several advanced camera features including Movie mode, Photo Effects, Direct Print capabilities using Canon’s CP-100 dye-sub printer, and magnified playback up to 10x for precise image confirmation. It is designed to make digital photography as easy as point-and-shoot.

Packed with Canon’s innovative technology, this camera is capable of capturing outstandingly smooth movie clips at 20 fps. The PowerShot A200 also features the latest 3 point intelligent focussing system AiAF, which ensures that the subject is always in focus therefore guaranteeing perfect exposure. The PowerShot A200 makes for easy connectivity between camera and computer USB ports, offering a new way to enjoy the world of digital imaging. Canon’s software suite for PC/Mac includes user-friendly Canon ZoomBrowser EX, PhotoStitch and PhotoRecord.

A large and very bright optical viewfinder provides a crisp image. Two LEDs indicate camera activity without being distracting. The upper LED glows steady green when the A200 has focused, or orange if the flash is going to be used. It also flashes green when the image is being stored. The lower one flashes yellow to indicate focus is uncertain, or glows steadily yellow when the camera is set to either Macro or Infinity focus.

Running on two AA alkaline batteries, the camera returned the shortest battery life of all 16 cameras tested in our roundup, recording only 61 shots before running out of juice. And though the camera produced reasonably sharp printed photos, on-screen images garnered our lowest rating because they were dark, fuzzy, and had a distinctly red cast.

Features

  • Superb Image Quality with a 2.0 Megapixel CCD
  • Powerful 4x Digital Zoom
  • Movie Mode and Dazzling Still Shots
  • Direct Printing with Card Photo Printers

canon-powershot-a20.jpgJump into Digital Photography with the Canon PowerShot A20

Canon achieves the perfect union of quality, versatily and affordabiltity with a remarkable digital camera designed to appeal to both first time digital camera users and price-conscious shutterbugs alike. Despite its modest price tag, the PowerShot A20 delivers high quality, high definition digital photos that will amaze and delight.

Canon’s new consumer-oriented digital camera, the A20, is a great 2-megapixel point-and-shoot. The 3x optical zoom lens includes an aspherical element to help reduce distortion and provide clarity. The built-in flash provides red-eye reduction, fill, night, auto, and off modes. While aimed at the consumer crowd, the A20 also features exposure compensation controls between +/- 2 EV in one-third increments. Additionally, there are several white-balance settings to choose from to help in most shooting situations.

A new digital signal processing IC in the PowerShot A20 camera enables high-speed image processing and rapid data transfer through the cameras’ USB interface. The PowerShot A20 takes advantage of this feature by offering a Direct Print mode that enables users to print hard-copy images using Canon’s new CP-10 printer. The CP-10 makes printing from digital files simple and fun by allowing users to control all print settings directly from the camera’s LCD monitor. Printer data is then transferred to the CP-10 directly through a dedicated interface cable.

A rotary wheel at the bottom of the back panel selects record or playback modes and auto or manual exposure. A further set of four buttons under the LCD works with a simple set of menus to control most other functions of the camera. The PowerShot A20 takes four AA batteries, which may be alkaline or rechargeable, though no charger is supplied.

Introducing One of The Easiest Cameras Ever!

Introducing one of the smartest and simplest digital cameras ever! From its stunning clarity and color to its powerful performance features, this is the digital camera that has it all — for far less than ever before. The PowerShot A100 is equipped with a high-resolution autofocus f/2.8 lens (equivalent to 39mm in the 35mm format). What’s in it for you? Images that will dazzle and delight you with their intimate details and brilliant, true-to-life colors. It’s the superlative picture performance of a high-end digital camera for less than you ever thought possible.

The A100 has a 5.0mm fixed focal length lens, with a maximum aperture of f/2.8. The focal length equates to a 39mm lens on a conventional 35mm camera, a slight wide angle. A large disc around the lens controls the built-in lens cover, and also turns the camera on or off in capture mode. I don’t think I’ve seen this particular design on a digicam before, but it works quite well. A tab extends from the left side of the disc (as viewed from the front of the camera), serving as a finger grip. Pressing down on this tab rotates the disc slightly, opening the lens cover and turning the camera on in capture mode. Pressing the tab up rotates the disc in the other direction, closing the lens cover and turning the camera off. I really like built-in lens covers like this, as they eliminate the problem of lost lens caps.

High quality images are provided by Canon’s image processing expertise, optimizing output from the 1.2M-pixel CCD sensor to create images that are great to email or print. The bright F2.8 lens, ensures your pictures are always clear and sharp, and the latest intelligent three point AiAF focusing system (Artificial intelligence Auto Focus) means the subject is always in focus wherever they are in the frame. The PowerShot A100 also supports Canon’s Direct Print printers - the Card Photo Printer CP-100 and CP-10. Direct printing is the quickest and easiest way to get photo quality prints without a PC. Simply connect the camera to the printer, select the image on your camera, and print. The CP-100 allows up to 10 x 15cm photo quality prints and the CP-10 is ideal for credit card size photos.

Despite its modest price tag, the PowerShot A10 delivers high quality, high definition digital photos that will amaze and delight.

Bundled with a comprehensive suite of programs enabling image management, editing, compositing and printing, the PowerShot A10 and A20 come with Apple QuickTime 4.1, Canon RemoteCapture 1.3, and PhotoStitch 3.1 for both Macintosh and Windows, as well as Canon ZoomBrowser EX 2.6, PhotoRecord 1.2 and WIA and TWAIN drivers for Windows, plus ImageBrowser 1.6 and a Photoshop-compatible plug-in for the Mac. Features integrated in both ZoomBrowser EX 2.6 and ImageBrowser 1.6 include TimeTunnel and SlideShowMaker. When using ZoomBrowser EX 2.6 or ImageBrowser 1.6, users can take advantage of new and improved features for auto layout printing, self-running full-screen slide shows, and automated preparation of images for use as e-mail attachments.

The camera has specific settings for close ups, distances and even better, makes panoramic shots a singe by leaving a small section of the previous picture for you to line your second second or third shot up with.
